Astounding Award Winner David Anthony Durham will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 2021!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David Anthony Durham is the author of seven novels:\u00a0The Risen, The Sacred Band, The Other Lands, Acacia, Pride of Carthage, Walk Through Darkness,<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Gabriel’s Story<\/em>. His stories have appeared in four of George RR Martin’s Wild Cards<\/a> novels:\u00a0Fort Freak, Lowball, High Stakes,<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Texas Hold ‘Em<\/em>. Other short fiction has been anthologized in\u00a0Unbound, Unfettered,<\/em>\u00a0Unfettered II<\/em>, and\u00a0Unfettered III<\/em>. He won the\u00a02009\u00a0Astounding Award for Best New Writer<\/a> (formerly the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer). Four of his novels have been optioned for development as feature films, and he has been a screenwriter\/consultant on several TV shows. His eighth novel, a middle grade solarpunk fantasy,\u00a0The Shadow Prince<\/a>, will be published in October 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
