By night he writes articles, chapters, and books like THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF FANTASTIC VICTORIANA (2005), THE ENCYCLOPEDIA OF PULP HEROES (2017), THE EVOLUTION OF THE COSTUMED AVENGER: THE 4,000-YEAR HISTORY OF THE SUPERHERO (2017), and HORROR FICTION IN THE 20TH CENTURY: EXPLORING LITERATURE&#8217;S MOST CHILLING GENRE (2020). His most recent projects are: a roleplaying game about the Viking invasion of English, THE FURY OF THE NORTHMEN (out later this year), a roleplaying game set in Mesopotamia in 670 BCE, THE WOLF ON THE FOLD (out 2026, probably); and a novel about the faery attempt to take over England in 1649, COLD IRON AND CONSPIRACIE.
