Joi Chevalier will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 2025!

Joi Chevalier is an Early Modern England scholar, chef, amateur astronomer, and writer who brings story, culture, and science together. A longtime ArmadilloCon participant, she has supported FACT’s World Fantasy bids, supports the ConSuite team, and hosted food-centered panels like Talking About Food and Talking About Dreams (2020). Joi is a member of the Armadillo Authors Society, and for ArmadilloCon 2025 she moderates Acts of Resistance: Creating Crafted Writing Circles. She is developing two narrative nonfiction books: a YA exploration of astronomy, space science, and cultural inheritance, and a work on the food traditions of Black Catholics on the Texas Coast. She still believes the night sky holds the greatest stories of all.
