Holly Lyn Walrath will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 2021! Holly Lyn Walrath’s poetry and short fiction has appeared in Strange Horizons, Fireside Fiction, and Analog. Hilary Ritz (a.k.a. H.C.H. Ritz) will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 2021!

Hilary spent seven years as Editor-in-Chief of Grey Gecko Press, where she supervised the acquisition and editing of over thirty novels, completing much of the editing herself. As an author, Hilary has three sci-fi novels published wide, a sci-fi novel on Amazon’s new Vella program, and a series of paranormal cozy murder mystery novelettes on Amazon. She’s currently at work on her second fantasy novel, which is about an elderly dragon striving to make amends for wrongs done (and villages burned) in her misspent youth.

Otherwise Award winning author Eugene Fischer will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 43! Eugene Fischer is an Austin-based writer and educator. A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and Clarion UCSD, he has led fiction workshops and taught writing courses for schools and conventions across the United States. He’s currently adapting his Otherwise Award-winning novella “The New Mother” for television with Amazon Studios.

Come meet D.L. Young, writer of books that will keep you up past your bedtime! He will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 2021!

D.L. Young is a Pushcart Prize nominee and winner of the Independent Press Award. He’s fluent in Spanish, speaks passable Portuguese (the Brazilian flavor), and he religiously follows English football squad Manchester United.

A lifelong science fiction fan, his intense, fast-paced novels reflect his many influences from books and movies, including William Gibson’s Sprawl trilogy, the Mad Max films, Akira, Blade Runner, and the works of Harlan Ellison, J.G. Ballard, and Paolo Bacigalupi.

His Dark Republic series is a near-future dystopian trilogy set in the aftermath of a failed Texas secession. His most recent series is a 5-book cyberpunk saga involving a war between artificial intelligences.

D.L. is currently working on a space opera trilogy (release date late 2021 / early 2022).

D.R.R. Chang is the editor-in-chief at SpaceSquid.com (your puny planet’s finest free scifi and humor). His superpowers include Photoshopping flying cat iconography and remembering parking spots. He’s eaten Larry Ellison‘s dinner, sung with the Houston Symphony, worked on some semifamous videogames, and bodyslammed Sigourney Weaver. Astounding Award Winner David Anthony Durham will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 2021!

David Anthony Durham is the author of seven novels: The Risen, The Sacred Band, The Other Lands, Acacia, Pride of Carthage, Walk Through Darkness, and Gabriel’s Story. His stories have appeared in four of George RR Martin’s Wild Cards novels: Fort Freak, Lowball, High Stakes, and Texas Hold ‘Em. Other short fiction has been anthologized in Unbound, Unfettered, Unfettered II, and Unfettered III. He won the 2009 Astounding Award for Best New Writer (formerly the John W. Campbell Award for Best New Writer). Four of his novels have been optioned for development as feature films, and he has been a screenwriter/consultant on several TV shows. His eighth novel, a middle grade solarpunk fantasy, The Shadow Prince, will be published in October 2021.

Daniel A. Cohen will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 2021! He is the author of ten novels, including The Coldmaker Saga, published internationally with HarperVoyager UK. Coldmaker was longlisted for a David Gemmell Award for Fantasy in 2018. His nonfiction has been featured in Bloomsbury’s Writers & Artists. Daniel lives in Austin, TX, and when not writing, can often be found playing saxophone under a bridge.

Clayton Hackett is an attorney and short fiction writer whose work has appeared in Daily Science Fiction, the Alternative Apocalypse anthology from B-Cubed Press, and the San Antonio Current. Previously, he has been an English teacher, a photographer, and an alligator wrangler. He lives in San Antonio with his wife and children. Chris Panatier, author of The Phlebotomist, will be appearing at ArmadilloCon 2021!

Chris Panatier lives in Dallas, Texas, with his wife, daughter, and a fluctuating herd of animals resembling dogs (one is almost certainly a goat). He writes short stories and novels, “plays” the drums, and draws album covers for metal bands. As a lawyer, he goes after companies that poison people. His debut novel, The Phlebotomist, was released in September of 2020, and his second, Stringers, comes out in April 2022 from Angry Robot. 

His short fiction has appeared in Metaphorosis, The Molotov Cocktail Magazine, Ghost Parachute, The Ginger Collect Magazine, Tales To Terrify, Trembling With Fear, Ellipsis Zine, Defenestration and others.
